The new forums are almost a year old now. There's alot of old threads that haven't had posts since 2009. The Staff will be conducting a clean-up of all old threads from 2009/Jan.-Feb. 2010. The only threads that will not be affected by this clean-up are relevant announcements or Forum/Sub-forum rules.

Why will there be a clean-up? It'll make the server load lighter, make the forum easier to organize (such as pruning out old, inactive forum games and adding new ones to the Directory), will allow the re-creation of some popular yet old threads, and will stop alot of un-intentional necroposting.

Even with a plugin or two, this clean-up will be a manual effort by the Staff team. All old threads affected by the clean-up will go into two archive forums; one that gives post count and one that does not. Deleting threads will cause problems with negative KG so deleting will be at a minimum.

Archive forums will be mod-only view, but you may PM a moderator anytime if you would like to view an old thread once more.

The Staff should be done cleaning up at least all the old threads of 2009 by July 15th. If there are any old threads from 2009 that are still in a sub-forum past that date, please PM or alert a moderator to let us know that we need to archive that thread.

Yes, as long as the thread's last post was in 2009. We'll probably archive art threads last or not first anyway so there's some time to organize some art or whatever.

You can re-make your art thread though if your old one has been archived and if for any reason you'd like to see a thread again, PM a Mod.

Why can't all of us see the archived threads?

Please no necroposting during this clean-up as it only makes our job harder and we'll have to issue warnings.

If there is some thread that hasn't been active since Feb. 2010 and then just recently got Necro'd, the Staff will move the thread as well.
