In order to use the Shoutbox, a forum account is required. However, just because the Shoutbox isn't quite the same as the forum, doesn't mean that there are no rules to follow.


-You must be a forum member with at least 10 posts to use the Shoutbox.

-No swearing.
If you do say a bad word or two, it's not so bad but keep in mind that the Shoutbox is kid-friendly. Swearing as an insult, especially to another member, will not be tolerated.

-No flooding.
Don't fill the whole chat with "OMG" or needless spam.

-Speak English.
Maybe a few words in another language is ok, but every conversation must be primarily English.

-No advertising.
Simple enough. Don't fill the Shoutbox with needless ads.

-No mini-modding.
If there's no mod on the Shoutbox currently, don't pretend to be one or try to regulate the rules like a mod.

-No inappropriate pictures.
No porn, hentai, no pictures with too much gore.

Breaking of these Shoutbox rules will result in forum warnings or a chat/forum ban. Depending on the severity of the offense, an appropriate warning will be issued.

If you're banned from the forums, you are also banned from the Shoutbox. You must also follow all the FORUM RULES at the forum as well as these Shoutbox Rules in order to use the Shoutbox.

As long as you follow these rules for the Shoutbox, you should be good.

Where is the shoutbox? Look at the upper right hand corner of the forums and click 'Shoutbox'. I am working on getting it global and having it visible at all times.

Shoutbox users, there are a list of colors you can use other than boring black text:

Use [color=(insert color here, no parentheses)]This is text.[/color] Without the minus.

Colors that so far have worked are:

Red
Blue
Black
White
Green
Pink
Gold
Silver
Magenta
Teal
Tan
Purple
Indigo

and a few others.

Additional information on how to use the Shoutbox:

- To see all previous Shouts, click (view Full Shoutbox) and you can view conversations by clicking the numbers below it.

- To imitate actions rather than speaking, type /me then a corresponding action, such as "/me does a little dance."

If done correctly, the Shoutbox should replace /me with your username, followed by the action you typed in.

- While the Shoutbox generally keeps up with everyone's conversation, it's not as real-time as the IRC and may need you to refresh your browser. If you do not know how to do this, hit your Ctrl and F5 keys at the same time.

The three other commands that can be used are, [b-],[u-],[i-] can be used, example with all three: [b-][i-][u-]waddup dawg[/b][/u][/i], to be able to use one of the three, you must do [b-]-insert text-[/b](same goes for [i-][/i]&[u-][/u])

To use these, remove the - in the parentheses.
